Libraries in South Australia
South Australia has an extensive library network comprising our State Library and over 140 public libraries and joint school/community libraries throughout metropolitan and country areas. Libraries are places that you can visit in person, or via the web, to borrow or use a wide range of materials including newspapers, books for children, young people and adults, magazines, CDs and DVDs. You may also be able to do some or all of the following:
State Library of SA - the State Library provides an extensive range of information and reference services as well as special collections, public access computers, family history services, South Australian heritage and exhibitions.
SA Memory - a State Library multimedia project highlighting the history of South Australia's people, places, issues and events. You can contribute your own stories about memories and events.
South Australian Public Library Network - public libraries around South Australia support lifelong learning and community participation
National Library of Australia - Australia's largest reference library collects, preserves and makes accessible documentary resources of national significance relating to Australia Libraries Australia - an online search service, which enables you to search across the combined catalogues of Australian libraries - national, state, public, university, TAFE and government - with one search
