A volunteer-based service funded by the SA Government that provides information and support for seniors, raises awareness of a range of ageing topics in the community and encourages local businesses to provide senior-friendly services
Services
- Information and support - provides older people with information and support to meet their individual needs through information and referral to services
- In-home visits - Seniors Information Service and Meals on Wheels are working collaboratively to provide a home visiting scheme
- Community Awareness - raises awareness in the general community of a range of ageing issues and breaks down negative stereotypes of seniors by conducting free talks and seminars
- Senior-friendly Business Certification - assists businesses to better serve older customers by assessing their access and layout, customer service and, if applicable, website
