- Members patrol the Port River and associated waterways, recording and reporting anything that may affect the health, safety or well-being of dolphins and other wildlife
- AMWRRO is the only organisation in SA to be licensed to rescue marine wildlife.
- AMWRRO's rehabilitation facility is located on
Torrens Island AMWRRO has the first of its kind in Australia “natural rehabilitation facility” which is located on Torrens Island and is used to house hundreds of marine animals each year.
Services
- Animal welfare - members patrol Port River and rescue dolphins and other marine wildlife
- Volunteering - members can elect to become volunteers as assist with rescues, water or land based operational crew
- Training - members receive in house training for marine wildlife and rehabilitation methods is offered to members
- Education and community awareness - conducts community awareness campaigns, school visits
