Part of a new national network of regional primary health care organisations established under the Australian Government’s National Health Reform. Medicare Locals are independent organisations with a key role in planning and coordinating primary health care services that are better tailored to meet the needs of local communities. SAFKI Medicare Local is responsible for improving primary health care services and identifying and addressing health care needs and service gaps across its region.
