The society occupies a number of permanent observatories in South Australia that house large telescopes, and can bring smaller telescopes to schools and groups venues
Services
- Promotion of the science of astronomy through regular meetings, viewing nights and use of research-grade facilities for members
- Workshops, training, camps
- Private viewing nights at observatories available for schools and groups by arrangement; visits to schools or groups to hold a viewing night with telescopes, or slide shows/lectures during the day
- Library for members - books, DVDs and other items
