Offers young people in the metropolitan area a range of free health services and programs. The centres encourage young people to contribute to the development of services. Co-located with Youth & Parent Services (Elizabeth)., Health information for young people is also available via Youth Healthline 1300 13 17 19 (also available for mobile phone users)
Services
- Youth Healthline - provides telephone information and support on youth health and other issues, 24 hours, 7 days per week
- Clinical services - doctors and nurses provide consultation on general health issues, sexually transmitted infection testing, sexual health issues, mental health assessment and referral, immunisation, contraception advice and prescriptions, pregnancy testing and counseling, shared care antenatal program, drug, tobacco and alcohol issues
- Counselling
- Groups and programs - ongoing and short term group programs including Aboriginal Youth Health; AMIGOS - Mental Health; Evolve - sexuality issues for young women; Multicultural Diverse Program; EdConX - School Connections; Sexual Assault and Abuse Counselling Service; Young Parents Project; Youth Participation at The Second Story
- Health education, information and promotion - including youth health information available from website
- Support services for people who are gay, bisexual, lesbian or questioning their sexuality - Inside Out (ISO) for men and Out lbw for women offer peer support, information, counselling and group programs. Inside Out includes a group for Asian men with outreach services, ISO North at Elizabeth and ISO South at Christies Beach
- Support services for young parents available at all sites
