Eligibility
People on low incomes who are customers of Housing SA, Housing Associations and Housing Cooperatives and private rental accommodation in metropolitan or country areas of South Australia. Customers include tenants, people on waiting lists, people seeking or receiving private rental assistance and people wishing to apply for the housing services mentioned above
Services
- Individual information, referral and advice relating to housing issues
- Negotiation and advocacy on behalf of customers with housing providers and landlords
- Representation of customers at Residential Tenancies Tribunal or Appeals Unit
- Information and education workshops for tenants or applicants, landlords and service providers
- Input into development and review of Housing SA operational policies, procedures and practices
- Policy development and input into the state housing strategic planning process
- Financial counselling and advocacy service
