Oxfam Australia Adelaide
Oxfam Australia
Oxfam Australia is an Australian, independent, non-religious, aid and development organisation. Oxfam Australia's work makes a real difference by helping communities to help themselves. The people we work with don't want to live on hand-outs. They want to lead dignified, independent lives. Oxfam Australia provides poor communities with the skills and resources needed to create their own lasting solutions to poverty.
By working together, thousands more people will have access to clean water, be able to grow more food, and enjoy better health and opportunities.
Our work includes long-term development projects, responding to emergencies and campaigning for a more just world. Oxfam Australia is part of Oxfam International - a global confederation of 14 organizations working together in 98 countries and with partners and allies around the world.
Volunteer participation welcome
Oxfam Trading
Oxfam Trading is a passionate supporter of fair trade and deals on a fair trade basis with 60 fair trade organisations around the world, who support thousands of producers including Indigenous Australians. The foods and handcrafts found in our shops, on our web site and in our catalogues are sourced from individual workers, craft bodies and fair trade organisations in developing countries. We buy their goods at a fair price and sell them in Australia so that communities may be helped in their struggle for a better life
