Eligibility
By appointment. Drop-in pregnancy testing is available at regional offices Mon - Fri 9am - 4.30pm
Fees
There are no individual consultation fees. An annual, up-front service fee of $20 ($10 concession) is payable each year. This fee covers clinic and counselling services. Contraceptives and medicines are sold at recommended retail price, or the doctor can write a prescription. Costs can be negotiated if there are financial difficulties.

Regional Primary Health Care Teams provide clinical and counselling services, community education programs and development programs and support to workers in the community to implement their own sexual health programs
Services
- Clinical services - Contraception services, pregnancy testing, counselling and referral, information on safer sex and sexuality issues, screening for breast changes and Pap smears, STI testing, management and referral, women’s health issues
- Counselling – Provided by professional sexual health counsellors for individuals, couples and families. Counsellors also conduct group sessions and provide advice and referral on sexual health related concerns. Telephone appointments can be requested, especially for rural clients. Counselling is provided for any concerns related to sexual health. These include: relationship problems, desire discrepancy, unplanned pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, sexual difficulties
- Sexual Healthline – Experienced sexual health nurses provide confidential information about sexual health, they will also provide referral to appropriate agencies or services
- Community education – Offers a range of community education and health promotion activities. Some of this work includes providing consultancy on sexual health, running workshops and group education sessions, youth participation and peer education, and health promotion
- Workforce development - Delivers a combination of nationally recognised and accredited courses in sexual health and relationships to doctors, nurses and midwives, teachers, youth workers, disability workers and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers with a focus on increasing the capacity of the workforce to deliver positive sexual health and relationships outcomes for all South Australians
- Library – A broad selection of items on sexual health and relationships for loan and sale on sexual health issues
- Resource centre - A large selection of audiovisual and teaching resources designed for teaching relationships and sexual health to individuals, groups or classes is available for organisations to hire. An annual subscription applies
