Eligibility
Individuals and families who have lived in South Australia for at least 5 years and are experiencing financial difficulty. Wyatt cannot accept applications from individuals on their own behalf. Applications must be made through a recognised welfare agency or professional.
Comment
Wyatt provides small, one-off grants for eligible South Australians through four streams: Financial Assistance Grants, Education Grants, Work Start Grants, and Subsidised Holiday Accommodation. It also provides financial assistance through its scholarship programs and partnerships
Services
- Financial assistance for the purchase of essential goods or services including rental subsidies, household goods, removal expenses, and no interest loan subsidies
- Holiday accommodation at Victor Harbor for individuals and families with disabilities and/or financial hardship
- Independent living units for the aged - located in Christies Beach, Christie Downs, Elizabeth East, Firle, Payneham and Victor Harbor
- Education grants to assist households with expenses related to education or to continue full-time studies - including university scholarships for indigenous students or TAFE students
- Work Start grants to assist individuals with expenses related to gaining employment
