Services
- The Home and Community Care Program is provided by Adelaide Hills Council to assist eligible older frail individuals, younger people with a disability and their carers to remain independent in the community. The Home & Community Care Scheme consists of various services - Home Maintenance & Modifications, Home Help (domestic assistance), Transport, Social Support, Advocacy & Information and Respite. A client contribution towards services is encouraged. Funding for these services comes from Commonwealth and State funding, National Respite for Carers Program and the Adelaide Hills Council
- HOME MAINTENANCE: help with minor home maintenance eg. minor repairs to gutters, roofs, fences, flyscreen & doors
- MODIFICATIONS: minor modifications to assist with safety and access such as grab rails, banister rails and threshold ramps
- HOME HELP: short term house cleaning
- CARERS RESPITE PROGRAM: provides respite for people carers. There are 3 weekly mystery trips as well as in home brokered respite
- TRANSPORT: Community bus for the older person and younger people with a disability to shops, library, clubs, outings etc & private volunteer's cars to local medical appointments
- SOCIAL SUPPORT: eligible clients are assisted with transport, shopping , banking, attending groups & appointments and other activities of daily living
- INFORMATION, ADVOCACY & REFERRAL: referral to appropriate services and ensuring that individuals receive appropriate pathways and assistance
