Services
- Mission World Aid is a voluntary, interdenominational charity organisation & a member of the Australian Council for International Development. The Mission sends relief aid to mission bases in needy Third World Countries. Volunteers meet at the site at the corner of Old Mount Barker Rd & Pepper Rd, Stirling, to collect, prepare and pack goods for container shipping to the overseas destination. Goods can be delivered on Wednesdays.
- More volunteers are welcome. Mission World Aid is Centrelink approved. Help is needed for collection & delivery of goods, or for mending bikes, servicing typewriters, sewing machines & other electrical goods. Most volunteers come to the Mission Shed for 3-4 hours each week, but some people support this work by home knitting or making bandages out of old sheeting.
