- Friends assist National Parks and Wildlife SA in protecting the natural features of Mount George Conservation Park
- The main activity of the group is weed control. Other activities include seed collection, plant propagation and planting out, historical and biological research, walking trail construction/maintenance and plant, bird and animal identification
- The group consists of members of the local community with a wide range of interests and expertise
- Approximately 70 hectares of bushland
- Volunteers conduct working bees on 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month. New volunteers are always needed and welcome
