City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters provides a Community Bus transport service for people living in the Council area who no longer drive and have difficulty using public transport, namely the frail, aged and younger people with disabilities and their carers. The Community Bus Service is supported by a team of friendly volunteers, who pride themselves on providing a helpful and professional service which provides transport to and from Payneham Senior Citizens Club, Salvation Army Companion Club, Payneham Library, Council run social support programs, shopping programs plus several special concerts presented by the Payneham City Concert Band throughout the year.
Services
- Weekly Shopping Trips
- Door to door transport to and from the nearest shopping centres according to geographical regions is available to eligible residents.
- Wed - Avenues Shopping Centre for residents who live in Hackney, College Park, St Peters, Stepney and Evandale. Pickup commences from 9am.
- Thurs morning and afternoon run to Marden Shopping Centre for residents who live in Glynde, Payneham Marden and Royston Park. Pick up commences 8.45am and 12.15pm.
- Fri morning run to The Parade, Norwood for residents who live in Kent Town, Norwood, Kensington, Marryatville and Healthpool. Pick up commences 9.00am.
- Fri afternoon run to Firle Plaza for residents living in Payneham South, Firle, Trinity Gardens, St Morris and Glynde. Pick up commences 12.00pm
