Eligibility
Issued by the State Government to men and women between 60 and 65 years of age AND in receipt of a Centrelink benefit for less than 12 months, and War Widows (Department of Veterans' Affairs) under 60 years of age (the card is cancelled at the age of 60 years). When a Card has expired (12 months after it is issued), holders may apply for a new card, provided the criteria are still met. The State Concession Card expires immediately the age requirement for a Commonwealth Pension is met. NOTE: Card holders are required to inform the Department of Families and Communities via the Concessions Hot line (1800 307 758) if their circumstances change or the card expires

- Energy - the applicant must not be sharing the house with someone who is not a spouse, partner or dependant (defined as a child under 16 years of age, a child 16-18 years of age in receipt of Youth Allowance from Centrelink, and a child 16-24 years of age in full time education in receipt Youth Allowance, Austudy or Abstudy from Centrelink) who has an income of $3,000 or more per year which is not a benefit or pension from Centrelink or the Department of Veterans' Affairs

- Public transport - just show the card if proof of eligibility requested by an inspector
- Vehicle registration and licence fees - Transport SA
