Vary according to service
Services
- Home help - short term cleaning, maximum of 6 visits, followed by assessment with possible extension. Major annual spring clean available e.g. rubbish removal, sorting of cupboards and wardrobes, cleaning of ceiling fans, light fittings. Hourly fee applies
- Personal care - short term only, maximum of 3 visits per week for 2-3 weeks . Hourly fee applies
- Respite - in home. Emergency respite only. Hourly fee applies
- Friendly visiting - visits on a regular basis, subject to volunteer availability. No charge
- Shopping and banking - for shopping, client can be accompanied or purchases made by a volunteer. For banking, client must accompany volunteer. Small fee applies and subject to availability of volunteers
- Home maintenance - minor works only, no rubbish removal. Hourly rate plus cost of materials
- Home modifications - minor works only, limited to health and safety needs such as ramps and grab rails. If ramps or rails requested, Council will organise and pay an Occupational Therapist to assess the situation. Hourly fee plus cost of materials with fees negotiated for larger jobs
- Gardening - basic gardening only such as limited weeding and bush trimming. Hourly rate applies. Garden makeovers: development of a low maintenance garden. Quote provided to client and interest-free payment plan available. Hourly rate plus cost of materials
- Security and safety assessments - no charge
- Transport - personal transport to medical and other appointments within the City of Playford and to Salisbury for specialist medical appointments only. Gold coin donation per one-way trip and subject to availability of volunteers and Council vehicles
- Telephone support - subject to availability of volunteers. No charge
- Home library service - tel. 8256 0334 for service from Elizabeth, Smithfield and Mobile library. Service on designated date/day once a month Mon/Tues/Wed morning. Medical certificate required unless temporarily housebound due to illness or a carer unable to access normal services due to caring responsibilities
