Eligibility
Frail aged and younger people with disabilities and their carers living in the former Strathalbyn council. All services dependent upon available funding.
Fees
Negotiable for most services but also dependent upon available funding
Comment
Some clients may be referred to Milang and Clayton Community Care at Milang Old School House Community Centre depending upon where they reside
Services
- Home help - cleaning. Maximum 1.5 hours per fortnight. Fee negotiable
- Laundry/ironing - maximum 1.5 hours per fortnight. Fee negotiable
- Shopping and banking - done on behalf of client. Maximum 1 hour per fortnight. Fee negotiable
- Respite care - in-home. During the day only and for other negotiable circumstances. Depending upon availability of suitably qualified service provider. Fee negotiable
- Friendly visiting - dependent upon availablility of volunteers
- Home maintenance - limited to health and safety purposes only. Negotiable fee with client to pay cost of materials
- Transport - personal transport for those who meet the general eligibility and are also transport-disadvantaged with no family or other resources available. Priority given to medical appointments, but social support groups and other important appointments considered. Appointments preferably between 10am and 3pm. Council Community Car /volunteer drivers and subsidised taxi services may be available. Also liaise with Hills Community Passenger Network where practicable. Contribution negotiated, dependent upon individual circumstances
