Services
- Accommodation - residential aged care - Lerwin Nursing Home
- Cleaning - 1 hr per fortnight, short-term (2-3 months) or ongoing. Intensive one-off clean ups may be available after assessment. Hourly rate applies
- Ironing/laundry - 1 hr per fortnight, short-term (2-3 months) or ongoing. Hourly rates applies
- Respite care - in-home. Maximum of 6 hrs per week. Hourly fee applies
- Shopping - assistance with local shopping, subject to availability of volunteers. Fee applies
- Friendly visiting - subject to the availability of volunteers. No charge
- Carer support - group meets monthly at the Local Government Centre with respite and transport available at no charge
- Home maintenance - minor works with focus on health and safety issues, also gutter cleaning, minor fence repairs. Fee: Cost of materials and contribution towards labour costs
- Home modification - limited to minor works. May include grab rails and ramps. Council organises site assessment by Occupational Therapist. Fee: Cost of materials and contribution towards labour costs
- Safety/security Assessments - conducted by trained volunteers. Donation requested. Client may have any recommended work done under the Home Modification program
- Transport - wheelchair accessible bus transport to Adelaide for medical appointments between 11am - 2pm. Can carry two wheelchairs. $20 round trip to Adelaide. Personal transport available via volunteers for local medical and essential shopping services. Fee applies, depending upon distance driven
